Santa swaps reindeer for a van
Father Christmas is well known for delivering presents with his sleigh and reindeer, but what does he use when he wants to drop off some food? A van of course.
Dawsonrentals has launched a Santa-inspired grocery service to food banks across the country, bringing some Christmas cheer with its Vanta Claus van that will be raising money for FareShare, a charity set up to tackle food waste.
To add to the festive fun, you can also track Vanta using Dawsongroup’s newly launched telematics product, Dawsontrac. The OBD2-based telematics system, which provides live imaging via Google Maps, updates every 30 seconds with vehicle reporting and driver analytics, giving real-time data on Vanta Claus' progress.
Gareth Jones, managing director at Dawsonrentals Vans said, “We wanted to give a little back throughout December by donating food to local food banks and generating funds for food waste champions, FareShare. We can’t wait for Vanta to start its journey and hope that Vanta will grab the attention of the public whilst out on the road encouraging people to go the extra mile and get involved.”
Vanta will be travelling the length of the country, delivering to food banks located in Cardiff, Doncaster, Ipswich, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Reading and Skelmersdale.
