Chivas Brothers buy a round of Vauxhalls
The drinks are on Vauxhall having secured another round of new vans with whiskey and gin producer Chivas Brothers.
Chivas Brothers, which is part of the Pernod Ricard group, has increased its fleet with 15 new Combo crew vans for use by its warehousing teams. The new vans will be used on the fleet for the next five years as site vehicles, covering an average of just 2,000 miles per year as they travel between warehouses to load and unload casks at the beginning and end of the whisky maturation process.
They have been specified with an 89hp 1.3-litre CDTi engine as well as stop and start technology to lower average CO2 emissions to just 129g/km.
“We chose Vauxhall again having used the previous version of the Combo. We have a long- standing relationship and we knew that this vehicle was perfect for the task and are really impressed by the enhanced levels of comfort the new vehicle offers to both driver and passenger,” said Tristan Campbell, fleet advisor at Chivas Brothers.
