Vauxhall’s supersized Combo now on sale
Vauxhall has unveiled the latest and biggest version of its Combo panel van at the CV Show in Birmingham. The L2H2 combines the 2170mm load length of the LWB and the 1550mm of the high roof model to bring the total load volume to 5m³.
The Luton-based manufacturer says the new model acts as a bridge between the light and medium panel van sectors, and was launched in response to market demand. The Fiat Doblo XL, which is built to the same specifications at their factory in Turkey, has been on the market since 2012.
“The inclusion of this new high-roof long-wheelbase version to the Combo range demonstrates our commitment to satisfy customer demand,” said Steve Bryant, Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles brand manager.
“Today’s market means that customers are increasingly demanding a wide variety of commercial vehicles to choose from and we are confident there is now a Combo for every application.”
Offering a payload of 1 tonne and up to 1230mm between the wheel arches, the L2H2 is available with a choice of two 1.6-litre diesel engines with 90PS or 105PS. Both engines come with fuel saving Start/Stop technology as standard.
